Garlic Herb Cheese Ball (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheese Ball

01 - 8 oz vegan cream cheese
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
03 - 4 tablespoons vegan Parmesan shreds
04 - 1 tablespoon unsalted mixed dried Italian herbs
05 - 1/8 teaspoon salt
06 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
07 - 2 teaspoons garlic granules
08 - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

→ Coating

09 - 1/2 cup raw walnuts or pecans

→ For Hands

10 - 1-2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Add all the cheese ball ingredients to a small mixing bowl. Beat the ingredients together until smooth and fluffy. Scrape the bowl and spoon the mixture together to form a flat ball shape.
02 - Place the bowl of whipped cheese in the freezer for 15 minutes.
03 - Finely chop your walnuts or pecans.
04 - Remove the cheese mixture from the freezer. Pour extra virgin olive oil on your hands and coat your palms. Scoop the chilled cheese mixture and gently roll it into a ball shape.
05 - Roll the cheese ball in the chopped walnuts, ensuring all sides are evenly coated.
06 - Place the coated cheese ball on your serving plate and freeze for an additional 5 minutes to set. Serve the cheese ball with crackers, crostini, or veggie sticks. For the best experience, consume within an hour of removing from the fridge.

# Notes:

01 - For best flavor and consistency, use a thick and firm vegan cream cheese brand like Tofutti. Alternate brands such as Kite Hill or Follow Your Heart may also work but should be tested for texture.
02 - If the mixture is too wet, fold in more vegan Parmesan shreds or a pinch of dried herbs to help firm it up.
03 - Dried herbs are recommended as they help absorb excess moisture, but finely chopped fresh basil or parsley may also be used for additional flavor.
