# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound fresh cherries, pitted and halved
02 - 1/4 cup Amaretto liqueur

04 - 16 ladyfingers
05 - 8 oz mascarpone cheese
06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine cherries, Amaretto, and sugar. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
03 - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
04 - Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso and arrange a layer at the bottom of a serving dish.
05 - Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Spoon half of the cherry mixture over the mascarpone layer.
06 - Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries. Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with shaved dark chocolate, if desired.
07 - Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
