Toss chicken with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add soy or teriyaki sauce if desired. Set aside to marinate while preparing broccoli.

Toss broccoli florets in a separate bowl with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and a pinch of salt.

Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F (190°C) for 8 minutes.

Open the air fryer basket, shake or stir the chicken, then add the broccoli on top or around the sides.

Cook for another 6–8 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C) and broccoli is tender with crispy edges.

Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds, green onions, or red pepper flakes if desired.
