Tangy Lemon Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup of softened unsalted butter
02 - 1 cup of regular sugar, split
03 - 2 cups of plain flour, separated
04 - A pinch (1/4 teaspoon) of salt
05 - 4 big eggs
06 - 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
07 - Peel zest from one lemon

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with butter or oil.
02 - Combine 1 cup of flour, half the sugar, and the butter in a bowl. Mix until crumbly, press into the pan, and let it bake for about 15 minutes.
03 - Take another bowl and beat together the eggs, the rest of the sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and the remaining flour until it’s all smooth.
04 - Pour the lemon mix onto the warm crust, then bake it again for 20-25 minutes until it firms up.
05 - Completely cool everything down before slicing into pieces and serving.
