Easy Slow Cooker Beef Chili (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat & Aromatics

01 - Lean Ground Beef (90/10 or 93/7) - 2 pounds
02 - Large onion, diced
03 - Garlic cloves, minced - 3

→ Seasonings

04 - Ground cumin - 2 teaspoons
05 - Chili powder - 2 tablespoons
06 - Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
07 - Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
08 - Salt - 1½ teaspoons
09 - Black pepper - ½ teaspoon

→ Beans & Tomatoes

10 - Black beans, drained and rinsed - 15 oz can
11 - Kidney beans, drained and rinsed - two 15 oz cans
12 - Diced tomatoes with juice - 30 oz
13 - Diced tomatoes and green chilis with juice - 10 oz
14 - Tomato sauce - 30 oz

# Instructions:

01 - In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef 4-5 minutes until it releases fat, breaking it up while cooking.
02 - Add onion and cook until tender, 4-5 minutes. Stir in garlic and all seasonings, cooking 30 seconds more. Transfer to slow cooker.
03 - Add beans, tomatoes, and tomato sauce to slow cooker. Stir well and cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours. Season to taste before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Can be cooked on high for faster results or low for longer cooking time
02 - Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat
