Quick Homemade Chicken and Dumplings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Broth

01 - Rotisserie chicken, shredded - 3-4 cups
02 - Water - 8 cups
03 - Better Than Bouillon Chicken - 4 tablespoons
04 - Salted butter - 4 tablespoons
05 - Flour - ½ cup
06 - Milk - 1 cup

→ Vegetables and Seasonings

07 - Carrots, halved and diced - 4
08 - Celery stalks, diced - 4
09 - Yellow onions, finely diced - 2 small
10 - Italian seasonings - 1 teaspoon
11 - Salt - 1 teaspoon
12 - Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
13 - Onion powder - 1 teaspoon

→ Dumplings

14 - Bisquick - 2 cups
15 - Salt - 1 teaspoon
16 - Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
17 - Italian seasonings - 1 teaspoon
18 - Milk - ⅔ cup

# Instructions:

01 - Combine water and bouillon in large bowl. Microwave 3 minutes, stir well.
02 - Sauté carrots, celery, onion in butter for 10 minutes. Add flour, then broth and bring to boil.
03 - Add chicken, seasonings, and milk. Reduce heat to low and simmer.
04 - Mix Bisquick with seasonings. Gently stir in milk, don't overmix. Let rest 1-2 minutes.
05 - Drop dumpling batter by 1½ tablespoons into simmering broth. Cover and cook 15 minutes, then flip and cook 2-3 minutes more uncovered.

02 - Can use cooked chicken breasts instead of rotisserie
