Garlic and Oil Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 garlic cloves, sliced thin
02 - ½ teaspoon chili flakes
03 - Salt for boiling water
04 - 400 g spaghetti
05 - 4 tablespoons good olive oil
06 - ¼ cup parsley, chopped fresh

→ Optional

07 - Shredded Parmesan to sprinkle on top

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a big pot of water and add a generous amount of salt. Once it’s boiling, toss in the spaghetti and follow the cooking time on the package. Before draining, save ½ cup of the water.
02 - Warm the olive oil in a wide pan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic slices and cook for about 1-2 minutes until they turn golden. Sprinkle in the chili flakes and mix gently. Watch the garlic—don’t let it burn!
03 - Put the drained spaghetti in the pan with the flavored oil and garlic. Toss it all together so the noodles are well-coated. Add a little starchy water if it feels too dry.
04 - Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top, and if you like, add Parmesan. Give it a quick mix again and dish up right away.
