Effortless Meatball Sub (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meatballs

01 - ¼ teaspoon each: black pepper, kosher salt
02 - ½ teaspoon each: garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil
03 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
04 - 1 egg
05 - 2 tablespoons Parmesan, grated
06 - ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
07 - 1 pound ground beef

→ Assembly

08 - Extra Parmesan for sprinkling
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or basil, chopped (if you want)
10 - 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
11 - 4 soft sub rolls
12 - 2 cups tasty marinara sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Pile five meatballs on every roll then add the rest of the cheese. Pop them back under your broiler till the cheese gets bubbly. Top with herbs and more Parmesan if you’re feeling fancy.
02 - Cut your sub rolls open, butter them up, and toast them till they’re golden. Sprinkle the bottom with half your mozzarella.
03 - Toss your meatballs in a hot skillet to sear them. Scoop out any extra fat, pour in your marinara, and let everything simmer for 15 minutes.
04 - Grab a bowl and throw in the beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, seasonings, and egg. Stir it all up and roll into balls about an inch across.
