Spicy Shrimp Creole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - Shrimp, uncooked, deveined, tails removed - 1 pound
02 - Unsalted butter - ¼ cup
03 - Sweet onion, chopped - 1
04 - Green pepper, chopped - 1
05 - Garlic cloves, minced - 2

→ Seasonings

06 - Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon
07 - Crushed red pepper flakes - ½ teaspoon
08 - Salt - ½ teaspoon
09 - Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons

→ Additional

10 - Diced tomatoes - 28 oz can
11 - Green onions, chopped - 2 (optional)
12 - Cooked rice - 6 cups (for serving)

# Instructions:

01 - Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion, green pepper, and garlic for 10 minutes until softened.
02 - Add seasonings, tomatoes with juice, and cornstarch. Bring to boil.
03 - Reduce heat to medium-low, add shrimp. Cover and simmer 6-10 minutes until shrimp is cooked.
04 - Spoon over rice and garnish with green onions if desired.
