# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound breakfast sausage (Italian or spicy, if preferred)
02 - 6 large eggs
03 - 1 cup milk
04 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese blend)
05 - 2 cups bread cubes (optional)
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
08 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
09 - ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
10 - ½ cup diced bell peppers (optional)
11 - ½ cup chopped spinach (optional)
12 - ¼ cup diced onions (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
03 - Layer the cooked sausage, optional bread cubes, and shredded cheese in a greased baking dish. Add optional vegetables if preferred. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.
04 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the casserole for 30-40 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
