Effortless Ham Cheese Calzones (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 large egg
02 - 60 g cream cheese
03 - 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 0.25 teaspoon (1.5 g) salt
05 - 1 tablespoon (12 g) baking powder
06 - 180 g almond flour

→ Filling

07 - 0.25 teaspoon (0.75 g) onion powder
08 - 0.25 teaspoon (0.75 g) garlic powder
09 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
10 - 80 g diced ham

→ For Baking

11 - 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Let them cool a bit, then dig in while they're still warm.
02 - Slide the calzones onto a baking sheet covered with parchment and bake for 20–25 minutes or until they've turned golden and crisp.
03 - Gently brush some olive oil on top so they get extra golden and crispy when baking.
04 - Put some filling on one half of each dough circle, but leave the edge empty. Fold the dough over and push the sides together so nothing spills out.
05 - Toss the diced ham, cheddar, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl until everything's mixed up.
06 - Cut your dough into four. Roll out every piece into a circle about 15 cm wide on parchment.
07 - Stir the dry blend and egg into the melty cheese. Work everything together until you've got a smooth dough.
08 - In a new bowl, quickly mix salt, almond flour, and baking powder so it's all combined.
09 - Pop mozzarella and cream cheese into a big microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in blasts of 30 seconds, stirring each time, till the cheese is melted and blends easily.
10 - Crank your oven up to 190°C (375°F) and let it heat while you get everything else ready.

# Notes:

01 - Switch up the filling with bacon or turkey, or try adding in sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a new twist.
02 - Letting everyone pick their own favorite fillings makes this way more fun—especially for kids.
03 - Dip these in marinara on the side for an extra punch of tangy flavor.
