                Cook ramen noodles according to the package instructions, discarding most of the water and leaving 2–3 tablespoons in the pot.

                In a small bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of water until combined.

                Drain the noodles, return them to the pot, and stir in the prepared sauce mixture along with the buldak flavor packet (if using).

                Cook the noodles and sauce mixture over low heat until the sauce thickens slightly and evenly coats the noodles.

                Turn off the heat, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the noodles, and cover for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.

                Transfer the noodles to a bowl and top with green onions, sesame seeds, and an egg if desired.
