Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Grease a muffin tin.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to remove any creases. Brush the entire sheet with melted butter.

Tightly roll the puff pastry sheet into a log. Cut the log into 1-inch slices.

Gently twist each slice to form a spiral, then place it into a greased muffin tin cavity with the cut side facing up.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.

While the cruffins are baking, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Let the baked cruffins cool briefly, then brush each with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated.

If desired, fill a piping bag with dulce de leche or chocolate spread. Insert the tip into the center of each cruffin and squeeze gently to fill.
