# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 cups fresh green beans with the ends snapped off
02 - 180 millilitres (3/4 cup) low salt chicken broth
03 - 170 grams (6 oz) boxed stuffing mix
04 - 1.5 tablespoons Italian seasoning
05 - Salt, as much as you like
06 - 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
07 - 227 grams (8 oz) sour cream or about 1 cup
08 - 298 grams (10.5 oz) low salt cream of chicken soup
09 - Cracked black pepper, add to taste

→ Optional Stuffing Additions

10 - 120 millilitres (1/2 cup) crumbled cooked sausage
11 - 60 millilitres (1/4 cup) dried cranberries
12 - 120 millilitres (1/2 cup) onion, chopped up small
13 - 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
14 - 120 millilitres (1/2 cup) celery, cut up tiny

# Instructions:

01 - If you want the dish less dry, pour in the rest of the chicken broth and let it warm for 10 minutes. You can also take off the lid for about a half-hour at the end if you want the stuffing less soggy, or pop everything under the broiler at 200°C (400°F) for 10–15 minutes to get a crispy top. Dish it up while it’s hot.
02 - Put the lid on and let it cook for 4 hours on high or about 6 to 7 hours if you go low and slow.
03 - Dump the stuffing mix and green beans into the slow cooker. You can set the stuffing on the chicken or next to it, with beans going on top or pushed to the sides.
04 - In a big bowl, toss together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half the broth, and stuffing mix until it's all blended.
05 - Sprinkle chicken breasts all over with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Lay them flat on the bottom of your greased slow cooker.

# Notes:

01 - Frozen green beans work too, but they're going to turn pretty soft if you add them in at the beginning. For beans with a bit more crunch, toss them in halfway through cooking.
02 - Feel free to throw in extras like sausage, veggies, or cranberries to the stuffing if you want a spin on the flavor or some extra texture.
03 - If you want your green beans to stay separate, try laying them on foil so you can lift them out on their own.
