Easy Sausage Egg Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
02 - 6 large eggs
03 - 1 pound spicy, breakfast, or Italian sausage
04 - 1 cup milk

→ Seasonings

05 - ¼ teaspoon of smoked paprika
06 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder and black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Optional Add-ins

08 - ¼ cup onions, diced
09 - 2 cups bread pieces
10 - ½ cup each of spinach (chopped) and peppers (diced)

# Instructions:

01 - Pop the dish in at 375°F for 30-40 minutes so it turns a lovely golden color and doesn’t jiggle. Wait just 5 minutes and you’re good to dig in.
02 - Start by smoothing a layer of sausage in the greased pan. Sprinkle in your cheese, veggies, and bread if you want, then pour that egg mix all over everything.
03 - Crack the eggs into a big bowl, then dump in the milk and your seasonings. Give it all a good whisk so it’s mixed up nice and even.
04 - Toss the sausage into a big pan. Brown it up nice and break it apart, then get rid of any fat left over.

# Notes:

01 - This dish is super flexible. Swap in whatever extras you’ve got, and make it the night before to save time.
