Buttery Bacon Cheddar Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - Sliced jalapeños, pickles, chopped parsley, and diced onions if you like, for extra zing
02 - Black pepper as much as you want
03 - Salt—just sprinkle to your taste
04 - 2 garlic cloves, chopped up nice and small
05 - 30 g butter (go for unsalted)
06 - 1 can (roughly 240–270 g) of pizza dough or crescent roll dough
07 - 120 g cheddar cheese, shredded
08 - 6 to 8 bacon strips, cooked first and then crushed up
09 - 450 g of ground beef

# Instructions:

01 - Let those rollups chill out for about 5 minutes on the pan before you grab one. Taste best warm and way nicer with your go-to dipping sauces.
02 - Fire up your oven to 190°C. Slide in the rollups and bake till they’re bubbling and golden, about 15 to 18 minutes.
03 - Melt that butter in a little pot. Toss in the minced garlic and some parsley. Brush the tops of your rollups real good so they get all that garlic flavor.
04 - Take your dough log and slice it into rounds about 2.5 to 4 cm thick. Put each piece seam-side down on a tray lined with baking paper.
05 - Layer the beef and bacon mix all over the flattened dough, then sprinkle cheddar right on top. Start at the long end and roll it up tight, leaving the seam on the bottom.
06 - On a floured counter, flatten out the dough into a rectangle, around 23 x 33 cm. Leave the edges clean so you can seal it up later.
07 - Brown up the ground beef in a frying pan over medium heat, tossing in a bit of salt and pepper as it cooks. Once it’s done, stir in the bacon bits. Take the pan off the heat and give it a few minutes to cool.

# Notes:

01 - You can put rollups together ahead and stash them in the fridge. Makes things easy when guests come over.
02 - Stash any baked rollups in the freezer. Just heat them up in your oven or air fryer when you’re hungry.
03 - Switch out ground beef for spicy sausage or turkey if you’re in the mood to mix things up.
