Fried Apples Cinnamon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 5–6 sour apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into wedges about 1/2 inch thick (roughly 2 pounds)
02 - 4 tablespoons of butter
03 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
04 - A pinch of salt
05 - 1/4 cup tightly packed brown sugar
06 - Juice from one fresh lemon

# Instructions:

01 - Remove the core and skin from the apples, then slice them into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Toss them with juice from half a lemon so they don’t darken.
02 - Heat butter in a cast-iron pan on medium until bubbly and melted all the way through.
03 - Put the apple slices into the pan. Sprinkle them with cinnamon, salt, and brown sugar.
04 - Cover the pan and let the apple slices cook on medium heat. Stir every now and then, and after 15 minutes, they’ll be soft and caramelized.
05 - When the apples are soft and coated in caramel-like goodness, take them off the heat. Eat them warm as dessert or a side dish.

# Notes:

01 - These warm apples go great as a breakfast side dish or a dessert with whipped cream or ice cream on the side.
