# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and seasonings

01 - 2 pounds bone-in chicken breasts, thighs, drumsticks, or wings (skin optional)
02 - 1.5 tablespoons chili powder
03 - 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
04 - 2 teaspoons kosher salt
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
08 - 2 cups barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
02 - If using chicken breasts, check their thickness. Slice in half if needed, or place between parchment paper and pound to an even thickness.
03 - In a small dish, combine chili powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
04 - Rub olive oil and the prepared spice mixture evenly over all chicken pieces.
05 - Brush the chicken pieces with half of the BBQ sauce.
06 - Grill chicken breasts for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F. In the last two minutes, brush with remaining sauce.
07 - Grill chicken thighs for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F. In the last two minutes, brush with remaining sauce.
08 - Grill chicken drumsticks for 30-35 minutes, flipping every few minutes. In the last two minutes, brush with remaining sauce.
09 - Grill chicken wings for 20 minutes, flipping every few minutes. In the last two minutes, brush with remaining sauce.
10 - Let the grilled chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to retain juices.

# Notes:

01 - Bone-in chicken tends to be juicier and less prone to overcooking.
02 - Preheat your grill and clean the grates before grilling.
03 - Oil the grill grates thoroughly to prevent sticking.
04 - Keep the grill lid closed as much as possible to maintain even cooking temperatures.
05 - Discard any BBQ sauce that contacted raw chicken to prevent contamination.
06 - Allow chicken to rest after grilling to lock in juices.
