Rinse asparagus well and slice into 4-5cm sections.

Warm up olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Toss in the chopped garlic and stir for a minute or two until you can smell it.

Add the cut asparagus to the pan. Stir it constantly and cook for 3-5 minutes until it’s crisp but tender.

Toss in the chopped ginger. Pour in soy sauce and heat until it just starts to bubble, then take it off the stove immediately.

Move everything to a serving dish. If you'd like, sprinkle with toasted almonds on top. Serve it hot right away.
