Heat the oven up to 350°F before you get started.

Peel, wash, and slice the apples into eight even chunks. Toss them with cinnamon and sugar, then put them aside.

Take the crescent dough out of its packaging and pull apart the triangles.

Spread butter evenly across a 13 x 9-inch pan.

Put an apple chunk on the wide part of each dough triangle, roll it snugly, and place it in the buttered pan.

In a mixing bowl, stir butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle the mixture over the rolls.

Carefully pour the soda around the rolls. Make sure you don't pour it over the tops.
